Saturday, October 22, the SCAD Savannah Bees faced off against Clemson and Georgia Southern Universities. SCAD's men and women posted many fast early season times and brought home six individual and relay event wins versus the Division I opponents.
With his wins in the 1000 FR (9:35.32) and 500 FR (4:35.68), junior
Alex Graudins moved into a second place tie for overall event wins in SCAD history. Freshman
Ryan Searles also attacked the record books setting a school record with his win in the 200 BK (1:50.90). SCAD continues to look strong in the breaststroke events with freshman Catherine Duquet (2:23.86) and senior
Bartos Scharmach (2:13.41) taking top honors in the 200 BR events.
Heather Librizzi's personal best performance in the 1000 FR (10:34.32) ranks 3rd overall all-time for the Bees. Duquet (200 BR) and Searles (200 FR) also leaped into the top ten swims of all-time with their performances.
The SCAD Bees will continue its season this coming weekend with dual meets on Friday at Florida Southern (4 pm) and Saturday at the University of Tampa (11 AM).
