HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — The SCAD men's soccer team erased a two-goal halftime deficit on Friday night, battling back to earn a 2-2 draw against Sun Conference opponent New College of Florida at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-8-1 (2-0-1 SUN), while the Mighty Banyans stand at 3-3-5 (1-0-3 SUN).
New College of Florida built an early lead in the opening half, striking in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. The Mighty Banyans expanded their lead in the 36th minute with a second goal, taking a 2-0 cushion into halftime despite SCAD creating an early chance with a shot on goal from
Mika Friz in the opening minute of play.
The Bees mounted a furious second-half response, outshooting the visitors 17-6 over the final 45 minutes and applying continuous pressure. SCAD broke through in the 72nd minute when
Wenzel Lindmoser finished a setup from
Moritz Prattes to narrow the deficit to 2-1.
Capitalizing on the momentum, SCAD found the equalizer in the 80th minute. After
Nicolas Lozano had a shot saved by the opposing goalkeeper,
Moritz Prattes collected the rebound and buried the game-tying goal. The Bees kept up the attack down the stretch, earning eight second-half corner kicks, but the match ended tied at 2-2.

Moritz Prattes sparked the attack with a goal and an assist on two shot attempts, placing one on target.
Wenzel Lindmoser scored SCAD's opening goal on two shots, while
Nicolas Lozano put two of his three shots on frame.

Sebastian Gomez led the team with four shots apiece.
