Men’s Soccer Drops 6-1 Decision to No. 11 Life

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — The SCAD men's soccer team hosted No. 11 Life University on Monday evening, falling 6-1 at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

RECORDS: The Bees drop to 0-2-0 on the season, while the Running Eagles improve to 2-0-0.

Life struck first in the 13th minute, converting an unassisted opportunity to take an early 1-0 advantage.

SCAD responded in the 26th minute when Lejs Plicanic found the net off a clear setup from Lucas Braganca, bringing the Bees even at 1-1. Both defenses locked down for the remainder of the opening half, sending the teams into the break deadlocked.

The Running Eagles regained momentum after halftime, breaking the tie with a goal in the 64th minute. Life expanded its lead shortly after, adding consecutive strikes in the 67th, 69th, and 75th minutes to pull ahead 5-1.

SCAD pushed to spark a rally late, but a final goal by Life in the 89th minute closed out the contest.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: SCAD finished the match with six total shots, placing three on goal. Lejs Plicanic led the attack with SCAD's lone goal on his single shot of the night, while Lucas Braganca recorded an assist and put one shot on target.

Tim Rothe finished with a team-high two shots, placing one on goal, while Sebastian Gomez and Judah Jackson added one shot apiece.

Goalkeeper Max Keller went the full 90 minutes in goal, making eight saves against 14 shots on target.
