Oxford, AL – The SCAD Men's and Women's Cross Country teams opened their season today at the Foothills Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville State University. Both teams raced 5,000 meters.  
 

WOMEN'S RESULTS: The women's team totaled 214 points to place 6th in the field of 20 teams. Auburn University won the event with 25 points. 

Edith Manfred came in first for SCAD, placed 25th in a field of 163 with a time of 19:00.

MEN'S RESULTS: The men's team did not compete with a full squad. Jacksonville State University won the event with 21 points. 

Vaclav Herbs came in first for SCAD, placed 17th in a field of 161 with a time of 15:51.
