Meredith Herman begins her fourth season as the assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach for the 2026-27 season.
Prior to SCAD, Herman was a high school English teacher at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA. During her time there, she was the assistant boys cross country coach, supporting them towards a GHSA State Championship title in 2021.
Herman graduated from Berry College with a B.A. in English and Secondary Education. During her time there, she ran NCAA DIII Cross Country and Track & Field. In her first year, she helped Berry win their first ever SAA Conference title, taking Second All-Conference honors. She is a three-time SAA Cross Country First-All Conference honoree, three-time SAA Track & Field All-Conference honoree, and three-time NCAA DIII All-Region Honoree. She is a two-time NCAA DIII National Qualifier and is one out of seven individual women in school history to qualify.
Herman lives in Atlanta, GA with her partner and their two cats, Oprah Winfrey and Toby McGuire.
