Lautaro Monardo enters his third season as the Assistant Tennis Coach at SCAD for the 2026-27 campaign.
Since joining the Bees in January 2025, Monardo has helped lead the program to unprecedented success. In his first season, the women's team captured the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship while the men's team finished as conference runner-up. The women's team also advanced to the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals, marking the deepest postseason run in program history. During the 2025-26 season, Monardo helped guide the women's team to a top 10 national ranking throughout the year while advancing both the men's and women's teams to the AAC Championship finals. The season also featured several program milestones, including SCAD's first ITA Cup Women's Doubles Championship and the program's first Women's ITA Cup Singles finalist. Under his guidance, the program produced seven NAIA All-Americans over his first two seasons, including four in his first year and three in his second, while the women's team finished the season with the nation's No. 1 doubles team and the No. 2 ranked singles player.
Prior to joining SCAD, Monardo built eight years of coaching experience working with players of all ages and skill levels in both Argentina and the United States. His coaching background includes directing summer camps in Pennsylvania, working with tennis academies in the Atlanta area, and providing private instruction.
Monardo's collegiate playing career began at Seward County Community College, where he competed for one of the nation's top-ranked NJCAA programs. He later transferred to SCAD Atlanta, competing for the Bees from 2018 to 2020 and serving as team captain during his collegiate career.
Monardo graduated from SCAD in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Effects.
