Haidyn Jenkins, who converted the game-winning strike past Xavier goalkeeper Luisa Bella for her first goal of the season.
SCAD dominated the tempo in the second half, outshooting the Gold Nuggets 7-2 and holding Xavier without a single shot on goal over the final 45 minutes. The defensive line neutralized the Xavier attack, while SCAD put eight of its nine total shots on frame and earned a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks during the second period to secure the win.
SCAD finished the match outshooting Xavier 9-6 overall and 8-3 in shots on goal, while holding a 2-0 edge in corner kicks. Bryntesson made three saves across 90 minutes of action to earn the clean sheet victory, while Xavier goalkeeper Luisa Bella collected seven saves.
