LEBANON, Tenn. — The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to face Cumberland (TN) on Sunday afternoon, falling 4-1 at Lindsey Donnell Stadium.
RECORDS: The Bees fall to 0-8-0 on the season, while Cumberland improves to 7-0-2.
SCAD created early momentum in the opening half, breaking through in the 35th minute when
Nicolas Lozano found the back of the net to give the Bees a 1-0 lead. Cumberland responded less than a minute later to tie the match at 1-1, sending the teams into the halftime intermission deadlocked.
Cumberland took the lead early in the second half with a goal in the 48th minute to make it 2-1. The home side extended its cushion with additional goals in the 57th and 74th minutes to secure the 4-1 decision.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees finished the match with nine shots, putting four on target.
Nicolas Lozano led the offense with two shots, placing one on goal and scoring the team's lone goal of the day.
Tim Rothe and
Sebastian Gomez each recorded two shots with one on goal, while
Nils Vallotto placed his single shot attempt on target.
Kimi Husler and
Simeon Dishman added one shot apiece.
Goalkeeper
Max Keller played the full 90 minutes in net, making seven saves.
