Men’s Soccer Drops 4-0 Decision to No. 14 University of the Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to face the No. 14 University of the Cumberlands on Monday afternoon, falling 4-0 at the UC Soccer Complex.
 
RECORDS: The Bees fall to 0-6-0 overall, while the Patriots moves to 2-2-1.
 
Cumberlands struck early, finding the back of the net in the 19th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. SCAD looked to answer prior to the opening goal when Tim Rothe forced a save, but the Bees headed into halftime trailing by one.
 
The host team widened the margin early in the second period, scoring in the 49th minute to build a 2-0 lead. The Patriots added insurance goals in the 70th and 81st minutes to put the match out of reach.
 
SCAD pushed forward late in the period, creating chances from Lejs Plicanic, Judah Jackson, and Paul Brophy, but could not break through.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: SCAD finished the match with seven total shots, putting three on frame. Paul Brophy, Tim Rothe, and Judah Jackson guided the offense with one shot on goal apiece.
 
Kimi Husler, Lucas Braganca, Lejs Plicanic, and Moritz Prattes each registered one shot for the Bees.
 
Goalkeeper Max Keller played the complete 90 minutes in net, tallying two saves.
