TAMPA, Fla.- Emilia Irle of Bees Women's Soccer has been named the Sun Conference Defender of the Week.

Irle had a superb weekend for the Bees. She was a mainstay on the defensive line that only allowed seven shots through two shutouts playing 173 minutes. Irle found the back netting in the eighth minute of the game vs. Reinhardt University to give SCAD an early 1-0 lead.

The Bees are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 13 on the road at No. 18 Georgia Gwinnett College for a noon kickoff.
